Pathfinder

Key Features

Interior

Plenty Of Room For All The Family... And Then Some!
The Pathfinder is incredibly spacious inside. The second and third row seats can also fold flat to create a flexible cargo area – without you needing to remove the seats or head rests.

Easy to clean
Dirt goes hand-in-hand with outdoor fun – so the rear cargo area of the ST and ST-L Pathfinder is designed for easy clean up once the gear is out.

Secure your load
You’ll find convenient cargo tie-downs throughout the rear cargo area (ceiling and floor), so you can secure loose items like sleeping bags and camping gear.

Ultimate travel companion
For long trips, there’s nothing like on-board entertainment. The Nissan Rear Seat Entertainment system (NRS) on Ti models plays DVDs, CDs and MP3s, and is also game console compatible. It has a high quality, ultra thin, roof-mounted display with wide viewing angle and infrared headsets. There’s even the advantage of remote control operation.

Audio system
The Pathfinder ST features a single CD player with AM/FM radio, whilst the ST-L and Ti models have a superb, 6 CD in-dash auto-changer with steering mounted controls.

Dual zone air-conditioning
At last, there’s an end to the war over cabin temperature! The Pathfinder ST-L and Ti feature dual zone climate control air-conditioning, which can be individually controlled by the driver and front passenger. Plus, the Pathfinder Ti also offers rear passengers control over their own air-conditioning.

Exterior

An Exterior That Will Get You Out There
The most capable Pathfinder even looks that way - with an aggressive mesh and chrome grille, muscular wheel wells and a ready-for-anything stance.

Sliding glass sunroof
The large glass sunroof slides open to let in light and fresh air.

Front fog lights
Integrated front fog lights give you extra illumination for safer, more confident driving in bad light and dusty or foggy conditions.

Roof rails
Maximising its cargo carrying ability, ST-L and Ti Pathfinders come with durable roof rails featuring a 100kg maximum load. Adjustable crossbars can also be fitted at extra cost, so you can carry canoes, skis, camping gear and more.

Easy to load
For easy loading, there are secure running boards on either side of the vehicle. There’s even a separate release that allows you to open the rear hatch.

Performance

The Earth Is Your Playground. Go Explore.
There is a choice of engine with a 4.0-litre 198kW V6 or a 2.5 litre 126kW advanced common-rail turbo diesel engine with 3,000kg braked towing capacity (trailer with brakes) to help you get out there and explore.

Petrol power on command
More powerful than ever before, this 4.0 litre, 24-valve, DOHC V6 includes lightweight components and friction-reducing micro finishing. With Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control, you have optimum power at any rpm – whether you’re on the open freeway, climbing a rocky incline, or muscling across a river. (Petrol engine not available in ST model).

2.5 litre diesel engine
The 126kW 2.5 litre common-rail turbo diesel engine has a variable nozzle turbocharger to deliver outstanding power. Thanks to twin balancer shafts, it’s also as refined as many petrol engines.

DOHC
A double overhead cam is characterised by two camshafts located within the cylinder head, one operating the inlet valves and one operating the exhaust valves.

ALL-MODE 4x4
Go where less capable vehicles fear to tread. Set in "Auto," this system continually adjusts the amount of power to each axle, providing improved traction on rough or slippery surfaces. When it senses adequate grip, the system automatically switches back to 2WD for maximum economy.

Switch the ALL-MODE 4x4 dial above for animation display.

Choice of transmission
Pathfinder's 5-speed automatic transmission is geared for both petrol and diesel – delivering optimal performance, shift quality and fuel efficiency. The automatic transmission also offers Manual Mode (M-Mode), which enables you to select gears manually. Or, choose the 6-speed manual model (not available on petrol models) with five close-ratio gears and a ‘long’ overdrive top gear for efficient cruising on the open road.

Suspension
All Pathfinder models come with an independent front and rear suspension, resulting in a smooth ride on any terrain. Plus, the rear suspension is designed to maximise interior space and provide high-riding comfort to those in the second and third row.

Pure muscle
With 3,000kg of braked towing capacity (trailer with brakes), the Pathfinder can easily carry everything you need for your 4WD adventure or weekend escape.

Safety

Surrounding Safety
The Pathfinder features the latest in safety innovations to protect you and your family. This includes Vehicle Dynamic Control on all models and roof-mounted curtain supplemental airbags on the Ti model – which stay inflated long enough to help protect all your passengers.

Vehicle Dynamic Control
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), also known as Electronic Stability Program, is an advanced standard safety feature, which helps you remain in control of your vehicle during critical situations to avoid serious accidents. The VDC system achieves this by comparing the actions of the driver with the momentary vehicle behaviour and controls the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control Systems (TCS) accordingly, to initiate the appropriate corrective action by selectively braking individual wheels and controlling engine power. This stabilises the vehicle and keeps it on its intended path.

Anti-lock Braking System
The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps you retain directional control whilst braking. It optimises braking performance by sensing wheel lock and sending a signal to the braking system to release the locked wheel. As the wheel unlocks, it can be steered. The system individually applies and releases the brakes to help provide optimum stopping and control under extreme braking situations.

Brakeforce Distribution
Senses the load condition of both passengers and luggage to optimise rear brakeforce and control front and rear brake distribution. This enables safer driving, whether on your own or while carrying a full load of passengers or cargo.

Dual front airbags
Reduces the risk of facial and upper body injuries to the driver and passenger in the event of a frontal collision. The airbags are designed to remain inflated long enough to help provide enhanced protection.

Side Airbags
For extra safety in the Ti model, driver and front-passenger side-impact supplemental airbags are built into the front seats (not the door) so they're always in the right place even if you change your seating position.

Active head restraints
Provide additional neck protection for front seat passengers against serious injury from the effects of whiplash in the event of a rear collision.

3-point seatbelts
3-point seatbelts are fitted as standard for all five passengers, including the rear centre seat.

Rear Park Assist
The Nissan Rear Park Assist (NRPA) system on Ti models has four body-coloured ultrasonic sensors on the rear bumper to assist you when you’re reverse parking. The sensors send information to a speaker, which beeps to let you know how close you are to another object. The closer you get, the more often it beeps.

Hill start assist
When it comes to starting on an incline, this feature helps stop you from rolling backwards. It applies the brakes for a couple of seconds, allowing you just enough time to move your foot from the brake to the accelerator.

Hill descent control
To help you manage steep descents, the ST-L and Ti Pathfinder includes a hill descent control option. With the flip of a switch, your Pathfinder will automatically adjust its speed and apply brake pressure – meaning you can enjoy a more controlled and managed descent.

Active Brake Limited Slip
If a loss of traction is detected in one of the drive wheels, ABLS applies individual braking force to that wheel to help slow it down. Power is then re-directed to the wheels with greater traction.
